Loreto Agusan del Sur Ascend from 309th to 50th Rank in the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index 2022 Rankings

Almost a year ago, we posted about Loreto's ranking in the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index 2021. A year has passed, and (based on research) Loreto is now in the 50th rank. Loreto made an eighty-three-point-eight (83.8%) percent leap.

2022 Most Improved Ranking for 1st and 2nd Class Municipalities




Out of 512 municipalities, Loreto ranked 10th in the 2022 Most Improved Ranking (1st and 2nd Class Municipalities) Category. It has an improvement score of 259. From the 309th rank, it ascended to the 50th.

Economic Dynamism

Loreto is ranked 376th in terms of economic dynamism in 2022. When it comes to safety-compliant businesses, it is ranked third, up from 429th in 2021. It is also behind in productivity, ranking 378th, but has risen 51 places since 2021. The "local economy size" ranked 243rd, up from 396th in 2021.  

There are two economic rankings where the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) is in the top 20. These are safety-compliant businesses at the 3rd rank and local economic growth at the 9th rank. The cost of living, which was ranked 17th in 2021, has fallen to 42nd.

Innovation


This category is a recent addition to the CMCI categories. ICT Use: E-BPLS Software and Online Payment Facilities are the indicators under which the local government ranked first.
